Hot Springs Near Breckenridge and Fairplay, Colorado

Some of the closest hot springs near the cabin and no its not Glenwood...

As much as we have tried to create our own spa and onsen feel here at Haute Haus nothing quite beats that outdoor immersion and sulfurous ambiance of a hot spring. Here are my close day trip picks for a hot spring experience.

Cottonwood Hot Springs in Buena Vista Colorado (*image from their website)

Cottonwood Hot Springs: Located in Buena Vista just 35 minutes away you can explore the adorable main street then wind down in the warm water. Best to go during the week when its not peak demand as it can be quite busy during the weekends.

Charlotte Hot Springs: If you’re wanting more of an intamte setting this is also a great option in Buena Vista. They are creating a Botanical Garden that will be open to the punlic soon but you can stroll through what they currently have while enjoying the waters.

Mt. Princeton Hot Springs This is about an hour's drive from the cabin so would be a lovely longer day trip. It’s also a great spot for kids! There are of course adult only zones as well. I think this is the better option for a larger facility as driving to Glenwood Springs is much farther and in my opinion a less nice facility. If you’re planning on exploring Vail already then this would be a natural fit to wrap into that trip but it is still quite a commitment.
