Here are some of the best local trails to the cabins. The amount of trails are limitless so if there is something specific you’re after seeing then we can likely help you find the right trail, just ask!
These top Breckenridge hikes are best suited for hiking in the summer. With our high elevation and large snow pack they are not very achievable unless you snow shoe or backcountry ski/splitboard and have self rescue knowledge. If visiting in the spring and wanting to stretch your legs I would highly recommend bringing crampon spikes for your hiking boots and gators to keep your legs/toes dry. Always go early for the trails near Breckenridge as it's challenging to get space otherwise.

Breckenridge Trolll is a popular wooden sculpture of a troll, go early if you can its a busy spot to visit but really cool photo opportunities. This is a trail that’s accessible year round and a nice spot to visit if you’ve never been to Breck before.
Beaver Creek Trail is hands down my most recommended hike just about year round, depending on gear and skill level! It's a great loop and diversity of terrain to see and easy access for all skill sets. It has easy parking and so much to see from beaver activity, old trappers cabins, wooden teepee dens, and a variety of terrain and landscape. Anyone can do it and since its set back in the woods and behind Fairplay I find it less congested than other trails.
Aspen Alley
Aspen Alley is near Breckenridge and a perfect spot to go leaf peeping, as the name would suggest. As always anything in Breck I recommend going early to avoid crowds and better chances of parking, especially in the leaf peeing weeks.
Hoosier Ridge
Hoosier Ridge is very close to the cabin! You can see this area from our decks. There is good accessible parking with great views. I wouldn't recommend it in the snowy months unless you’re a skilled backcountry skier.
Wheeler Lake
Wheeler Lake trailhead is accessible straight from the cabin doors. Its about a 20-30min hike to get to the trailhead so it would be a big day but doable for the right skill level! Like most high alpine lakes its gorgeous. Theres an old mining mill “The Magnolia Mill” thats you can visit for some old west history. Wonderful wildflower viewing opportunities in the summer. I would not attempt this in the snowy months.
